Norwegian closed-containment salmon farming specialist AkvaFuture appointed Dean Trethewey as its new managing director.
Trethewey, who joined the company earlier this month, was previously production manager at Mowi for 15 years until 2016. He also held the position of production director at Grieg Seafood in British Columbia.
Technology introduced by AkvaFuture features a completely contained salmon sea cage developed by parent company Akva Design that is designed to prevent sea lice infestations.
