Tone Hanstad, an investment professional with Ferd Capital, joined the board of one the company's portfolio firms, Broodstock Capital, in January, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Hanstad has been with Ferd for over two years. Prior to that she was a seafood equity analyst with the industry's largest lender DNB Markets.

Ferd Capital recently upped its stake in Broodstock Capital from 65 percent to 93.6 percent. The company helped fund the establishment of Broodstock in 2016.

Ferd, co-owned by Johan H. Andersen and daughters, Alexandra and Katharina -- recently ranked among the world's 10 youngest billionaires -- already has an extensive portfolio, but has identified seafood as a core area to grow.

Ferd is looking to invest NOK 10 billion ($1 billion/€927.6 million) in seafood, health, renewable energy, technology and real estate.
