CEO of Icelandic giant Brim resigns; hunt is on for replacement
Chairman of the board will take up the duties of the CEO temporarily.
Gudmundur Kristjansson has decided to step down as CEO of Icelandic fishing giant Brim for personal reasons.
Kristjan P. Davidsson, chairman of the board, will take up the duties of the CEO temporarily until a new CEO has been appointed, the company said in a statement.
Gudmundur will continue to sit on the board of directors of the company.
Guomundur is the majority owner of Utgeroarfelag Reykjavikur, Brim's largest single owner.
