Einar Gustafsson traces his connection to the seafood industry back to his childhood, and he plans to draw on his vast experience with fish to steer American Seafoods, one of the world's largest whitefish harvesting companies, into the future.
He won't have to do it alone, of course. Gustafsson, who was named CEO of the company on Friday, will have the help of 30-year American Seafoods veteran Inge Andreassen, who was named to the newly created position of COO on Friday as part of a management restructuring at the group.
