Global aquaculture genetics, health and nutrition group Benchmark Holdings has appointed Preben Matre as commercial lead for its Animal Health business division, focusing on sea lice solutions.
Matre will join Benchmark's newly restructured commercial team working to support salmon farmers with both health and genetic solutions.
Previously northern Europe regional manager at ACE Aquatec, Matre will lead the commercialization of Benchmark’s recently launched sea lice medicine Ectosan Vet and CleanTreat in northern Europe.
In 2021, Norwegian authorities approved the use of Ectosan Vet with CleanTreat, representing a significant milestone for Benchmark and the industry after more than 10 years of research and development.
