Yoshida has an MSc in Animal Science from the University of Maringa and a PhD in Genetics and Animal Breeding from Sao Paulo State University in Brazil.

She has experience in applied breeding programs for salmonids and tilapia in Chile and Brazil.

Ekvall recently completed his European master's in Animal Breeding and Genetics. His master's program focused on breeding program designs and comparative methylome studies on infectious salmon anemia (ISA) in Atlantic salmon.

Before that, he earned a bachelor's degree in epigenetics in tilapia at the Nord University, followed by studies in biomedicine at the University of Bergen.

Hans has work experience in Europe, Asia, and Australia, including with abalone and pearl oysters. He will support external clients with applied consultancy services in his new role.

Last year, Benchmark announced it was considering listing on the Oslo stock exchange. An Oslo- listing would give the company access to the exchange's financial aquaculture ecosystem and global base of specialist investors and analysts, it said.

The company has appointed DnB Markets and Pareto Securities as advisers on the potential listing.
