Bjorgolfur Johannsson is resigning as CEO of Icelandic fishing giant Samherji, a position he has held alongside Thorsteinn Mar Baldvinsson since March 2020 and alone since November 2019.
Baldvinsson will once again be the sole CEO of the company.
Following allegations against Samherji in November 2019 of its involvement in the Namibia cash-for-quotas scandal, Baldvinsson temporarily stepped aside as CEO, with Johannsson taking over the reins.
