Andreas Pierre Hatjoullis has been appointed interim CFO at aquaculture technology supplier Akva.

Hatjoullis is currently group controller for the company, a position he has had since 2012.

Hatjoullis succeeds Simon Nyquist Martinsen, who resigned earlier this month and who will continue to support Akva in a transition period.

Earlier this week Akva hired Erlend Sodal as COO for its cage-based Nordic business unit after he left a 25-year position as Skretting Group operating director and managing director of Skretting Norway and Australia.

After posting expectations for the end of fiscal year 2019, Akva Group last week revised those earlier forecasts saying losses will be much more significant than it originally thought, thanks to mis-reporting from its land-based division.

But CEO Knut Nesse told IntraFish earlier this week that he is still optimistic about land-based aquaculture despite past failures.
