Amerra Capital Management-backed byproducts firm Biomega on Monday named former Hamlet Protein Vice President of Operations Stig Victor Petersen as its new CEO.
Peterson, who takes over Oct. 1, joins the company as it plans to expand beyond Norway.
Petersen replaces Sten Estrup, who is transitioning to chairman of the board at Biomega. He will continue as advisor at Amerra.
Prior to Biomega, Petersen held roles at Hamlet Protein, and other human nutrition and animal feed industry players, including Palsgaard and Dupont.
Biomega CFO Thomas Samsdal will fill the position of interim CEO until Petersen officially joins the firm.
Amerra first acquired Biomega in a private equity deal in 2017.
