Peruvian fishing and processing company Pesquera Exalmar reported a 9 percent increase in third quarter earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), a strong showing in a period marked by higher COVID-19 related costs and sub-part anchovy harvesting.

EBITDA came in at $59.1 million (€49.9 million), up from $54.4 million (€46 million) a year earlier.

Sales also rose, by 7 percent, to $235.6 million (€199.2 million) as the company processed more fish than in the same quarter a year earlier.
