Between 2017 and 2021, the crustacean farming sector has increased its fishmeal consumption by 250,000 metric tons.

Feed ingredients represent a significant portion of the costs borne by farmed shrimp producers, both financial and environmental. The marine ingredients sector is no stranger to the shrimp farming industry although the main ingredients used there are terrestrial crops.
