James Hill (pictured left), CEO of Young's Seafood and its holding group, will step down from his post by the end of the year, the company announced Tuesday.

He will leave as of Dec. 31, 2015, to "pursue alternative opportunities outside the group."

Hill, who joined in April 2013, will retain a non-executive role as an advisor to the Young’s holding group board.

Bill Showalter, currently chief financial officer of the holdings group, will assume the responsibilities of CEO in addition to his existing duties.
