Young’s Seafood, the UK arm of pan European frozen food giant Findus Group, says it is “disappointed” by the Alaskan salmon fisheries’ withdrawal from Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification.

The UK giant, which is one of the two largest frozen seafood branded suppliers with Iglo Foods Group and its Birds Eye brand, said it will continue to buy Alaskan salmon, but will review its purchasing policy.
