His organic farmed salmon from Northern Ireland is not for the average price-sensitive seafood buyer, but in the right context, it does well. With Asian markets growing and the supply of quality farmed salmon underserved, the product commands a “significantly” higher price in Asia than it does in Europe, where the price is well above spot prices for farmed salmon, Russell told IntraFish.
