The retailer is aiming to have all of its farmed salmon certified as “all-natural,” by 2009, but will begin phasing in the new requirements as early as this summer, a source who attended the meeting told IntraFish.

Whole Foods spokeswoman Ashley Hawkins would not comment on the meeting, saying, “We can’t really discuss anything because of proprietary reasons and the competitive nature of the grocery business.”
