UK-based scampi producer Whitby Seafoods posted a slight increase in turnover in 2013, but managed to boost its profits 15 percent over the same period.
Whitby saw its turnover increase 3 percent from £31.5 million (€39.3 million/$52.6 million) in 2012 to £32.4 million (€40.4 million/$54.1 million) in 2013, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) also increased 15 percent over the year from £1.8 million (€2.2 million/$3 million) in 2012 to £2.1 million (€2.6 million/$3.4 million).
