There is considerable interest for organic farming of salmon so production will gradually build up to sizeable volume, he said.

Additionally, marketing of this type of farmed salmon will be shared among more players.

By the end of autumn, Villa Organic subsidiary Villa Miljolaks -- which is biggest of the Norwegian companies for this type of farming, will already have exceeded 2,000 metric tons.
