The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) is slamming the decision by the US Department of Commerce (DOC) to impose countervailing duties on Vietnamese shrimp, saying it is "unfair" and "needs to be reconsidered", reported the Thanh Nien News.

The DOC on August 12 announced the new tax on shrimp imported from Vietnam to offset what it claimed was financial support from the Vietnamese government for shrimp companies.
