Veronica Papacosta has been appointed the first chairperson for Australia's new national seafood body, Seafood Industry Australia (SIA).
Papacosta was elected as the inaugural chair of the SIA board after the board of seven directors met in Melbourne last week to discuss nominations.
She is the current managing director of Sydney Fresh Seafood group, and has been a driver of the SIA project to create the new national peak body for the Australian seafood industry.
