A troubled tender offloading nearly 120,000 pounds of spoiled sockeye salmon to Bristol Bay newcomer Extreme Seafood was, in fact, operated by the processing company itself, according to the company's plant manager.
Jack Bunnell, plant manager at the Naknek facility, told IntraFish the vessel was working for Extreme but declined to comment further on what caused the fish to spoil, or when the incident occurred.
