The upcoming parliamentary elections in Iceland on Oct. 29 have a number of industry members worried, with talks around the country's quota system dominating some of the political talks.

Coupled with a sky-rocketing Icelandic kroner, and Brexit, a short-term period of uncertainties lie ahead, they told IntraFish during a recent trip to Reykjavik.

All this comes on top of threatened strike action by hundreds of Icelandic fishermen, which could have widespread implications on markets and prices.
