United Kingdom-based smokehouse Severn & Wye Smokery saw its net profit jump 132 percent in the year ended March 31, 2015, despite a continually "challenging" trading environment.
The company achieved a net profit of £1.16 million (€1.6 million/$1.7 million) in the year, up from £498,391 (€707,601/$751,434) reported last year.
Operating profits increased from £791,791 (€1.1 million/$1.2 million) in 2014 to £1.6 million (€2.3 million/$2.4 million) this year, while gross profit jumped from £4.7 million (€6.7 million/$7.1 million) to £7.1 million (€10.1 million/$10.7
