For the first time in the history of the Grimsby fish market, line-caught haddock has become a regularity: about 16 metric tons of quality haddock is being brought in from Norway and sold every week.
This influx could see a boost in the future, Martyn Boyers, chief executive of Grimsby Fish Dock Enterprises (GFDE), told IntraFish.
"The Norwegian company we are dealing with send their line-caught fish direct to Grimsby Fish Market, which is very good quality and selling well on the auction," he said.
