The UK's exit from the European Union may strengthen Grimsby's foothold in the European seafood market, despite widespread concerns, said the UK Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Andrea Leadsom, when she visited the area Sunday, reports The Grimsby Telegraph.
Leadsom met with several important figures of the town's fishing industry at Grimsby Seafood Institute, where she answered questions and tried to allay fears of Brexit would bring.
"Business will not be staved as a result of this," said Leadsom.
