Norwegian company Fishglobe, which has produced a globular, closed-containment, floating fish farm has been granted two out of the three developmental permits it applied for from the Norwegian government.

Construction of the fish farm is scheduled to start in 2020 and is expected to be completed in 2021.

At the time of application, the production unit was sized for approximately 2,300 metric tons of fish per unit at a density of 75 kilos per cubic meter.
