That transpires from the most recent figures from the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC).
According to those figures, the price of trout fell more than salmon, which dropped by 19.2 percent compared to last year over the same period.
Also noteworthy is that the price of frozen salmon fillets was higher in week 30 than it on average in the first 29 weeks of the year. That suggests that some have entered longer-term contracts at higher prices that what producers are receiving since the strong drop in raw material prices.
