Seattle-based Trident Seafoods inked a deal with Capital Recovery Group to lease the former Golden West Foods processing facility and its equipment in the US state of Virginia.

Trident confirmed its plans to IntraFish on Wednesday.

The Bedford-based 90,000-square-foot factory formerly owned by troubled foodservice processor Brooks Food Group gives Trident access to the Eastern seaboard and, in turn, a closer shot at customers it sought with its unsuccessful bid for Icelandic USA last year.
