The Trident Seafoods-led coalition of salmon processors seeking to rejoin the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) client group on Friday responded to a barbed letter from the Alaska Salmon Processors Association (ASPA) denying it and other major processors the opportunity to share the certificate, and said it had taken its case to the MSC board of trustees to enforce rules requiring inclusion.

Trident Seafoods’ Stefanie Moreland said ASPA’s response, sent to the company May 12, was “difficult to accept.”
