Some of tuna giant Tri Marine International’s investments in processing in the Pacific to target Europe and the United States are progressing faster than others.

The $900 million (€672 million) turnover fishing, processing and trading group -- which supplies 500,000 metric tons of canning-grade tuna per year -- is involved in three projects to build or renovate processing plants in the Pacific, including the reopening of the former Chicken of the Sea cannery in Pago Pago, in American Samoa.

This project -- and another in Soltai, in the Solomon Islands -- is moving toward completion.
