“Anyone engaged in the industry here in Asia thinks the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010 was stupid -- and that implicates Norwegians in particular because there’s no getting around the reality the Nobel committee is an expression of Norwegian political will," said a Chinese executive in the Southeast Asian seafood industry.
He agreed to an interview with IntraFish on the condition he remain anonymous. To speak openly could cause unpleasantness, he said.
The interview took place in Singapore and Jakarta, during the Norwegian state visit to Indonesia last week, which sparked a lot of interest in the local seafood industry.
