Thieves snatch over 31,000 pounds of H&N's shrimp

A container filled with vannamei white shrimp has been stolen, according to H&N Group.IntraFish

California-based H&N Group said Tuesday a company container holding 31,200 pounds of vannamei white shrimp went missing from the company's dock in Vernon, California. The container was taken on Sunday.

H&N is asking individuals to contact Nancy Yang at 808-321-0385 if they have information on the theft of 31,000 pounds of shrimp from its dock.

"This is the firs time this has happened," Linda Purkiss, a spokeswoman for the company, told IntraFish.

The container included product from India packed by Falcon Marine from the company's regular distribution line, and is labeled under the Rose brand.

A reward of up to $5,000 (€4,483) is being offered for information that can lead to an arrest.
