The Scottish Salmon Company (SSC) saw solid increases in earnings for the fourth quarter of 2018, contributing to a record year for the company across the board.

The salmon producer posted earnings before interest, tax, demortization and amortization of £10.0 million (€11.7 million/$13.3 million) in the fourth quarter of 2018, a 15 percent increase on the corresponding quarter.

Its revenues also rose, by 6.5 percent to £42.5 million (€49.6 million/$56.4 million).

The increase was realised thanks to a 2.5 percent increase in harvest volumes to 7,045 metric tons and overall strong prices giving EBIT per kilo of £6.03
