The $8 billion beast: Maruha, Nichiro to merge

Maruha Group, Japan's largest seafood company, and Nichiro Corp., the third largest, said Monday they will merge operations in October, creating an $8.4 billion (€6.4 billion) seafood behemoth -- far and away the world's largest.
