A fire occurred at the Thai Union Ingredients Tuna Oil Refinery Plant in Rostock, Germany on June 1, according to the company.
The local fire brigade controlled the situation and extinguished the fire, Thai Union said in a news release Tuesday. It added the plant was not in operation at the time, and no staff were scheduled to be on site.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage, and Thai Union said it will fully cooperate with any investigation undertaken by authorities.
