The Edinburgh Salmon Company (Esco), which is owned by Brittany, France-based Thai Union subsidiary Mer Invest, slipped into the red in the financial year ended March 31, 2015.
The company "suffered from difficult trading conditions" in the year, Director Gilles Charpentier wrote in the annual financial report, published on Companies House.
The firm reported a net loss of £407,114 (€552,950/$603,335), down from a profit of £1.15 million (€1.6 million/$1.7 million) in the previous year.
Operating loss amounted to £479,920 (€651,837/$711,232), a drop from £1.52
