The economic climate in the United States and Europe means demand has shifted from large size shrimp to medium and small sizes, said Chakaval Dussadeevutikul, assistant managing director for the business development and marketing department of PTN Group.
This means the supply of shrimp in these sizes -- which is usually able to keep up with organic growth in demand in a normal global economic situation – is insufficient, Dussadeevutikul told IntraFish.
