Advance Food Co. of Oklahoma City, Okla., was named Sysco's 2005 supplier of the year at the company's awards ceremony Friday in Houston.
Three companies also received Sysco's’s Heritage award, presented to the top women- and minority-owned businesses that supply Sysco products. This year’s recipients included seafood supplier Ocean Duke Corp. of Tampa, Fla.
Sysco is the largest foodservice distribution company in North America, with more than $30 billion (€25 billion). The company provides food and related products and services to approximately 390,000 restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, lodging establishments and other foodservice customers throughout the United States and Canada.
