Although the fishing season in Norway has only just started, prices are continuing where they left off last year in an upward trend, climbing up 37.5 percent already in the first few weeks of the year.
As normal for this time of the year, only a relatively small amount of fresh cod has been landed so far, but prices are up to around NOK 22 (€2.30/$2.50) per kilo, Charles Aas, an advisor at Norwegian sales association Raafisklaget, told IntraFish.
