Norway's Steinsvik Group snapped up aquaculture equipment supplier Ocea, sources told IntraFish. An official agreement will be presented later this Monday.

“I'm in a meeting just now, and not at liberty to make any comment on this. I’ll have to get back to you during the day,” Bjorn M. Apeland, managing director and principal shareholder at Steinsvik, told IntraFish, when approached for confirmation.

IntraFish also attempted to get comment from Jan Fossberg, CEO of Ocea, who, however, could not be reached.

The news Ocea was to be sold after the board of directors decided "strategic alternatives" for the company were necessary broke in October.
