As much as 33 million of Spaniards -- 72 percent of Spain's population -- have a preference for Norwegian salmon, according to consumer surveys carried out by the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC).
Spain was one of the five biggest growth markets for Norwegian salmon in 2015, with imports of Norwegian salmon increasing by 24 percent compared with the year prior.
Spain is also one of the 10 biggest export markets for Norwegian salmon and Norwegian seafood.
