Spanish canned seafood exports amounted to 126,650 metric tons during the first nine months of 2015, the highest volumes since the year 2000.
According to the Spanish Association of Seafood Canners Anfaco-Cecopesca, exports increased 6 percent in volume and 3 percent in value in the year through Sept. 30. compared with the same period a year earlier.
Total canned fish exports amounted to €544 million ($588.7 million), of which €344 million ($372.3 million) were canned tuna exports amounting to volumes of 76,000 metric tons.
