Russia is open once more to seafood imports for South Africa, and major fishing companies in the country are intrigued by what opportunities this may -- or may not -- bring them.
Last week, Sea Harvest’s CEO Felix Ratheb told Reuters South Africa will resume seafood exports to Russia for the first time in almost two decades.
Following the August ban on imports from the United States, Norway and several other western countries, Russia has been scrambling for alternative sources for its seafood products.
