US deli chain Einstein Noah Restaurant Group has landed on at least one supplier for its cold smoked salmon contract, sources told IntraFish.
Multiple sources in the smoked salmon industry told IntraFish Wednesday Einstein Noah – America’s largest deli operator – awarded Oregon-based Pacific Seafoods subsidiary Salmolux some of the business formerly held by Marine Harvest.
Jason Abelsohn, national sales manager for Santa Barbara Smokehouse, told IntraFish he understood the bidding process was over for the contract.
“I was advised that [Einstein Noah Group] had already come to an agreement with Salmolux,” Jason Abelsohn, national sales manager for Santa Barbara Smokehouse, told IntraFish.
