High Liner Foods is in exclusive talks to acquire Icelandic USA, but Trident Seafoods and Dongwon Industries are still in the picture, sources told IntraFish.
Executives from the Canadian company are understood to have been in Iceland for talks with Enterprise Investment Fund (FSI) and Henry Demone, CEO of High Liner, was seen in Reykjavik Thursday. Demone is understood to have returned to Canada to consider the talks with FSI.
FSI declined to comment, other than to state “the process is going according to plan, and we still plan to finalize it by the end of the year.”
