Spanish fishing and processing group Freiremar -- one of Spain’s top five largest frozen seafood players -- and PanaPesca, one of Italy’s largest frozen seafood suppliers, are being touted for sale, several seafood business sources told IntraFish.
Las Palmas-based Freiremar is reportedly up for sale in parts of as a whole, a source close to the company told IntraFish.
The company has turnover of upwards of €240 million ($324.6 million), a fleet of over 30 vessels and divisions all over Spain and in the United States, Canada, Portugal, Argentina, Uruguay, Senegal, Namibia and Ireland.
