The electronic traceability system was developed by TraceTracker Innovation, a Norway-based technologyh company.
The system’s launch is scheduled to take place at a seminar overseen by Hans Abrahamsen, managing director of Skretting's northern Europe operations.
Around 100 top seafood industry executives registered in advance to attend the seminar, Skretting said. The business leaders, who have become increasingly aware of sustainability and traceability issues in recent years, want to know what consumers are expecting of food quality in the future.
The seminar is organized by TraceTracker in cooperation with the Norwegian government-funded traceability project eSporing, on behalf of Norway Trade Fairs.
