Chinese agri-business group Sino Agro Food started stocking its Zhongshan MegaFarm on Tuesday. This farm is "designed to become the world's largest indoor recirculating aquaculture system facility," said the company.
The first stocking will supply the first two A Power Module tanks with total of a 1.2 million giant freshwater shrimp postlarvae, or young shrimp.
The company will stock its remaining 36 young shrimp nursery tanks progressively pending the results of the model initial trial and after fine tuning functional performance of associated support facilities such as filters and heat exchangers.
