Siam Canadian expects to see growth from its divisions in Thailand, Indonesia, China, India and China in 2012, especially of vannamei shrimp, said Jim Gulkin, the company’s founder, after its annual meeting on Dec. 6 and Dec. 7.
The annual meeting saw executives from the company’s Asia branch offices come to Bangkok, where the company is headquartered.
After the meetings, Gulkin told IntraFish he is confident the company can improve on its results for 2010. Overall, the group’s sales increased by 3 percent in value and decreased by 7 percent in volume, he said.
