UK processor Macduff Shellfish -- which is backed by a London-based private equity -- has appointed former Young's Seafood veteran Roy Cunningham as managing director.
The appointment comes as the company is splitting the roles of managing director and chairman and is targeting increased investments in vessels, Euan Beaton, who will serve as chairman and focus on business development, told IntraFish.
Cunningham, who has 25 years experience in the seafood sector, joins from dedicated Waitrose supplier and Young’s Seafood-owned operation, Macrae Edinburgh, which he headed up for the past ten years.
