The second round of the Seattle pollock roe auction for the 2016 A season ended April 15, with average bidding prices bouncing back from the record low for the same season last year.
The bidding prices for the auction averaged at JPY 535 (€4.40/$5) per kilo, down from JPY 686 (€5.60/$6.40) for the first round of the 2016 A season. The price drop is in line with the traditional price movement as there are more lower-grade roe during the latter of the season.
